Homepage for Atlassian.design

About the project

  • I co-led a project to create a new homepage for atlassian.design that told the story of design at Atlassian.

  • Previously this page didn’t exist, so it was a careful balancing act to create a page that didn’t clash with the main Design System wayfinding page.

The problem

  • Atlassian didn’t have one main page that told the story of their design leadership.

  • There was a requirement to tell the Atlassian design story in a compelling way, and speak more broadly about design than just the design system specifically.

Results

  • I came up with a new content strategy for the homepage, and worked with the design technologist and designer to craft the hierarchy of the page.

  • The result is a homepage that tells the story of design at Atlassian, showcases news items and blogs and videos, and points to areas of interest on the site.

A webpage with the title 'Better teamwork by design' from Atlassian Design. The background has a light dotted pattern, and speech bubbles with names Tony, Rovo, Kyah, and You are positioned around the text.
A website homepage section with a black background on the left and a white background on the right, showcasing different sections about design, teamwork, and AI with images and descriptions.
